Text Layers

To create a new text layer follow these steps:

  1. Selelect from the toolbar the "Text tool".

  2. Click on a point of the picture where you want the text to appear. A window will popup and you can insert your text.

  3. When finished typing your text click the button: "New Layer".

  4. The layer window will open and the new text layer will be added to the list.

  5. Now you can control all the text parameters: caption, position, color, transparence etc..

  6. Remember you can convert a text layer into an image layer through the main menu or by clicking the button on the layer window.

Text Layers are supposed always to be on top of any image layer: so if you need a text to stay back you have first to convert the text to an image layer.
